The new Sigma Series 4 Manual Tile Cutter offers greater robustness, versatility and ease of use than ever before. The innovative tile cutter is a superb creation that has closely considered professional tilers in their design. It is a much lighter, yet stronger than the former Sigma 3 model, thanks to its unique construction from a single piece of strengthened aluminium.
The Sigma Series 4 tile cutter comes in two ergonomic options, the push ‘Nex’ system and the pull ‘Up’ system. Both options offer a host of new features and benefits for outstanding performance.
The cutters range from 60mm up to 155cm, with the largest cutter capable of making a straight cut of 1.5cm and 1m diagonal. The same wheel can be used on all the cutters to cut porcelain, ceramic and glass of various thicknesses without any adjustment.
The longevity of the device has been increased by re-locating the guide locator pin from the bar of the device to the body, making it easily replaceable. Widening the lateral stop has made it possible to achieve thinner cuts, whilst the suspension in the new handle aids the cutting of textured surfaces. Spring loaded arms support the cutting of large format tiles and the base has been designed to accommodate a laser which will be added in 2023.
The large, ergonomic Nex handle moves smoothly up and down on a rachet system, eliminating the need to adjust the bar and making the cutting process faster and easier. Increasing the width of the breaking foot, with an anti-mark base, allows the cutting of much thicker tiles.
The Nex handle comes with a 16mm tungsten carbide scoring wheel while the Up hand has a 12mm scoring wheel and a fixed breaking foot.
The addition of a host of new features means the Sigma 4 is a quantum leap forward from the Sigma 3 and the ideal choice for professional tilers. The Sigma Series 4 is available in all N&C stores and online now.
