In her new, North London studio, influencer, entrepreneur, brand ambassador and TV presenter, Melly Sophia (@mellysophiamua) prepares to launch her first-ever dream make-up studio. With the help of N&C, we share Melly’s transformation journey.
With nearly 400,000 instagram followers (and counting), Melly Sophia’s make-up portfolio showcases a diverse range of styles, from bridal elegance to high-fashion editorial looks. Her work has been featured in leading beauty publications and graced the faces of celebrities, models, and influencers alike.
Having built up an impressive career over 15 years, Melly wanted to fulful her lifelong dream of having her own studio, but it had to be done right. With a keen eye for colour, texture, and composition, Melly wanted to recreate an experience that was not only welcoming and unique, but transported her clients on a journey as part of their overall experience.“You end up building good relationships with clients, you almost become a mentor and a place for women to unload”. There is an element of wellbeing at play, where I love the fact that clients walk out of my studio feeling confident, beautiful and are literally glowing.” Melly was seeking a design that was pretty, soft and offered a luxurious feel. “I wanted the room to come to life.” Italian Onyx by N&C was no doubt the perfect tile for the project.
The impressive N&C Italian Onyx Collection offered a luxury polished tile in an extra large format size with multi dimensional detailing that adds character and charm to any interior setting. Also available in a natural finish and five colours, the collection was a firm favourite.

We caught up with Melly Sophia and asked her some questions about her experience sourcing the right products. How did N&C help you source the right product?
''The guys at N&C truly were tile experts, I really didn’t know what tile design I wanted, but when I described the look I was after, they pulled out exactly what I wanted. I even picked up a beautiful, round LED mirror from them.''
How did you go about selecting the tiles?
''I think it’s really important to see the tiles, I went to the N&C showroom and there is no way I would’ve had the same effect or experience had I purchased it elsewhere online as I originally set out to do.''
Tell me about the selection you got shown?
''When I asked for a luxury tile, I got shown so many different options. They really paired the products well, I love Italian Onyx for my studio the moment I saw it. I loved the way the light reflected off it, there is so much depth and detailing, I love it! I get a lot of lovely comments about the tile when people enter the studio.''
